Self
confidence is just a state of mind
It is a way of thinking that brings conviction to our
conversations and security to our smiles. Its power is undeniable and
magnetising. With a confident air you can have an entire room listening
to you speak. Even if your topic isn’t particularly captivating,
you can be. With self confidence you generate a positive energy that radiates
charm. Men and women alike want to be around people who embody this strength.
Being this confident is easier than you think.
Confidence is a small word, which can make a BIG difference
to our lives and the way we see ourselves. None of us are born either
with or without it, but – starting through childhood - all the events
that happen to us - things that are said to us - and the way we react
to them go to build a state that pushes our persona in a particular direction.
These are the building blocks of the way we are, the person we have become…..it
is really all down to the way we represent the world to ourselves. And
therein lies the key clue to the way we can turn things round. With guidance
towards reframing events and the way we have internally interpreted them,
we can start to see the world – and ourselves – in a new light.
Take a look at the people who step up and talk in front
of a crowd or mix with ease at parties or have the courage and the coolness
to take on a new task unfazed, or consistently fulfill their potential.
Confident and assured. How do you compare with them? Are these qualities
you would like to have? How would your life be altered by being that kind
of person. Just imagine if you could take on the world with a confident
stride in your step.
Here are some examples where you will draw upon your reserves
of self confidence:
- Pre-test or exam nerves
- Dating
- Public speaking
- Fear of rejection
- Interviews
- Giving a presentation
- Stage fright
- Fear of social events
Everyone has insecurities, but some of us struggle with
this more than others. We may have doubts about our physical attractiveness,
or are unhappy with a particular aspect of our appearance. We may feel
we don’t measure up to others intellectually or are uncomfortable
about the way we speak. The repetitive outcome of this is - we are left
feeling defeated and unsure of ourselves.
Sometimes even the confident become “gagged”
when caught outside their familiar surroundings or comfort zone. It all
goes to show our susceptibility to self-doubt and surprise when we get
caught off guard in the “headlights”. It might just be one
particular person or place that makes this happen for us. It’s pretty
natural for us all to be uneasy and reticent of new circumstances or meeting
new people - but when it takes on the proportions of a phobia, and we
can’t speak a word without our heart racing at breakneck speed,
it’s time we took a look at what foundations our lives are built
on.
You don’t need Dutch Courage in whatever doses do
it best for you, because that wears off and doesn’t get to the heart
of the matter – the REAL answer lies within yourself. By re-programming
and utilizing your wonderful unconscious mind, you can give yourself the
freedom to enjoy every situation – the chance to communicate in
ways you’ve always wished for – to display a positive and
attractive body language – to make every step you take along life’s
highway feel like walking on air.
Building Self Confidence and Self Esteem
Because self confidence is such a natural and basic resource,
lack of it is often one of the reasons for a whole range of other problems
and difficulties. Building self confidence therefore is such an important
task. The need to build self confidence and self-esteem has an impact
on many facets of a person’s life. And with the use of hypnotic
trancework your self-image, self-esteem and confidence can be elevated
to new high levels.
The Building Process
The process is very straightforward, and starts with a
chat so we can get to know each other with answers to a variety of questions.
It’s possible you may want some explanations and reassurances about
hypnosis – I’ll explain the timetable of our sessions and
what areas I’ll be guiding your mind towards.
A lot of the sessions may at first seem very conversational,
but the trancework part of the programme simply involves going into a
deeply relaxed state where you are able to access your unconscious mind,
where your thoughts are stored. When you get into dialogue with your unconscious
your negative thought patterns can be replaced with positive ones through
hypnotic suggestion.
With guidance you can learn to be more relaxed in every situation of your
life, and you will have a more positive attitude towards everything and
everyone. The way you talk to yourself and think about yourself will be
different, too. Instead of being filled with doubt and negative self talk,
you will have a much more positive and confident attitude about yourself.
As part of my “aftercare” I would show you how to use self
hypnosis – and you could then use this as a “quick booster”
before stressful events if necessary.
Before presentations, meetings, social events - whatever
used to stress you out before - relax deeply for say 15-30 minutes and
then proceed to enjoy the event totally confident and at ease with yourself.
So instead of those nerves making you self conscious,
stammering or stumble over words, or a sub-par performance, the new you
will be like the other people you’ve always admired. Just imagine
what it would be like to take on the world with confident strides……emboldening
and compelling isn’t it…….
As always – all you’ll need is there within
you. It is just a matter of finding the right key to unlock that door.
All I’ll be doing is helping to guide you towards cutting the right
key to release and help you empower yourself with a new sense of self
confidence.
If you’d like to know more then call or email me
….take those first steps on a new and exciting journey. You’ll
be amazed at how quickly the benefits will start to accrue……
